We are in NE Alabama, just off of Interstate 59, which runs North to South from near Chattanooga, TN to the Mississippi Delta region. Use a mapping service, such as mapquest.com, to determine the easiest way to reach Exit 231 on I-59. The map to the left visually describes your route once off of the Interstate. The key turns are numbered; the text below gives you more info on these turns: Turn 1. You will turn East onto 40, and stay on this road until you intersect US HWY 11 (Hoot's Auto Sales will be on your left). Turn Left (North) onto HWY 11. Turn 2. Turn right onto AL HWY 137. This road will be preceded by a sign advertising Violet Hill Baptist Church (locals refer to this road as Violet Hill Road). This road is curvy - be careful so you can properly spot your next turn. Turn 3. You will see a chert pit - there are several roads that go through this chert pit - you need to take the farthest left dirt road (left if you were looking dead onto the pit). Keep this road until you come to a left turn that goes up a hill through dense pines - Welcome!
